Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

We are a week early, but Merry Christmas from all of us at Pederson Seed and Services. It seems like all I keep saying, but what a year. I think we have all learned to be more adaptable, creative, and stronger this past year. Before I get into a little message from each of the team, I wanted to reflect on this Christmas season. Those of you who follow the Christian tradition may be familiar with the term advent. Advent is the season of preparation leading up to Christmastide, which starts at Christmas day and continues for the next 11 days. The Christian tradition observes Advent as a way to prepare for Christmas. To focus on the preparation, and reflection, and anticipation. Regardless of your faith background, Christian, Atheist, Agnostic, or however spirituality looks to you, I think we can all learn from the posture of Advent. It seems to me, more than ever, this is a season of waiting. We are all eagerly anticipating the ending of a global pandemic that has taken the lives and health of so many Americans. We are waiting to decide on Christmas plans and the best and safest way to celebrate with the ones we love. We are anticipating some peace and normalcy in our daily lives. And we are waiting on the arrival of Christmas, a season that means so much to many of us. I hope you can take these last few days leading up to Christmas day, and draw on the tradition of Advent. Of learning to lean into the anticipation, of slowing the busy, reflecting on what has been and what is to come and focusing on the blessings around us and the joy ahead. We wish you all the best this Holiday season.

This year was full of change, unknowns and uncertainty. Luckily, along the way there have been some unexpected delights such as more time spent with family, less time in meetings, and fun times social distancing on the boat and sand dunes. We hope 2021 is filled with good health, happiness and pleasant surprises for our customers and friends.

In what seems like a rather challenging year the Strube family has so much to be thankful for, as we close in on the last few days in the first semester for the other three members of the household. With many families and businesses struggling through finances, personal health, and the emotions behind this whole ordeal at such a time of the year we continue to lift them up in our daily thoughts. We aren’t immune in northeastern Kansas, however we are in an area with some very good customers, that you graciously also get to call friends. We’d like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and fantastic 2021 with happiness, health, and prosperity. --The Strube’s

Sarah, Graham and I enjoyed some hiking on a camping weekend in November this year. We love the outdoors and spending time with each other. We were blessed this year to be together a lot, whether that be putting Legos together, camping, harvesting, gardening, or just hanging out on our new deck. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy new year in 2021.

Shelby, Cash and I had a good 2020. Spent a little more time at home, which meant fishing with Shelby and Cash and working on some updates around our home. We took a trip out to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and enjoyed time in the mountains. Lately, I've been taking Cash trapping and on some little hunting trips. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas, and a very Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas from Indiana! This year marked a full year of working remotely for Pederson Seed from Indiana. While I miss seeing the team in person, I’ve loved being able to stay a part of this great group. This year marked challenges just like everyone else. John taught many of his classes for Purdue remotely, but we did enjoy some extra time at home working on house projects, shop projects, hiking and gardening. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and hope you can find a way to enjoy the company of loved ones.
